Okay, so, I don't know about anyone else, but this week's assignment was a struggle for me. I started at two and have just now, three hours later, finished editing two photos. The layers just throw me off, and I seem to always end up moving or deleting or selecting the wrong layer. Luckily for me, GIMP lets me keep a dialogue box open of my undo history. I actually like how the first picture turned out, but not so much the second one. (It feels extremely poorly done and cheesy. Ah, well. Learning is a process.)
(Cropped, then everywhere except the people was selected and blurred. )
(A little of everything went in to this. Rotating, re-sizing, cropping, multiple layers, selecting, deleting... and still ended looking weird. Oh, well.)
Nice work! It was extremely challenging learning to make the editing programs do what you want, but it was fun! you did a very nice job...I don't think the second one looks weird I think its fun!
ReplyDeleteIt can be challenging to work with a photo manipulation program. I think you really nailed it. The first shot is a little on the bright side, but other than that it looks great. I don't think your second shot looks weird. They both look really great.
ReplyDeleteI think your pictures came out great! Don't feel so bad; I spent hour on mine and still really have no clue what I'm doing. lol I guess this week will be a couple extra hours watching how to vidoes. Who would have guessed photoshop could be so complicated?
ReplyDeleteYou did an absolutely excellent job on these!
ReplyDeleteBecause many of you have never done this before, I don't expect that anybody in this class would be able to pull off a professional looking final product. My only hope is that you use the tools and that you gain some knowledge out of it and perhaps, some enthusiasm for wanting to pursue it on your own further.
Again, wonderful work…
